The cantonal test centre is permanently closed

From January 2023, patients or health insurance companies will have to cover the test costs. A Covid-19 test is still useful for particularly vulnerable people with symptoms or for seriously ill people.
Medically ordered tests are covered by health insurance (minus deductible and deductible). All other people can get tested at a pharmacy, doctor's office or private test provider. However, they have to cover the cost of testing themselves – regardless of whether they have symptoms or not.
